Arsenal squad Strong Enough, Do not Need Big Changes
London – Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, said that the team does not need to buy many players or make major changes. According to him, the Gunners squad is now strong enough.
In the last two seasons, Arsenal showed that they are able to attract and buy a big name. After bringing Mesut Ozil last season, this season they brought Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez immediately tuned and transformed to be a new flagship Arsenal. Chilean forward it has collected 14 goals and 8 assists from 30 times to compete in the Premier League this season.
Meanwhile, Ozil, whose performance had declined, assessed Wenger is okay again in the second half of the season. With their star players like them both, plus a number of other major players and young players who started sticking just as the Francis Coquelin–, Wenger called his team already quite competitive.
“We do not need a big change. Our strong squad and we have some promising young players,” said Wenger as reported ESPNFC.
“I believe that some of the players who had been in doubt, such as Mesut Ozil, has made great progress in the second half of the season. He has become the foundation of our game, as it has always been expected.”
“We also got a great squad. Lukas Podolski, Joel Campbell, and Yaya Sanogo will also return from loan period. If you add them to the players that we have today, you can see how big our squad,” Wenger said.
Arsenal now sit in third in the standings with a collection of 67. However, Arsenal still save two games compared champions this season, Chelsea, and the second current occupant, Manchester City, who has played 35 times.
